    Our stay unfortunately did not go as planned. We got given a room on the ground floor rather than the upper floor however this was rectified. The sun loungers were metal and wood and could not be adjusted so they were very uncomfortable. Breakfast is not how described or like the pictures they have uploaded. It is not buffet style however a small limited menu. Multiple options were not available because they had “ran out” and we got given bowls with small pieces of watermelon and melon which did not reflect the photos. The buffet area was there for show and other customers we spoke to were also confused at the false advertising. We had housekeeping come to our room to clean and we asked them to give us an hour and they just passed us new towels and when we left and returned back to the hotel, our room had not been cleaned at all (photos available). We were left without toilet paper and water and because it was raining we could not go out. We had to get the night worker to supply us with more. We were told our room was cleaned though. Clearly not. We were told welcome drinks were provided however we did not get welcome drinks and they attempted to fix this by giving us orange juice before we left.

    The hotel is small and cute, in a great location close to a good food hall and a coworking space, which is very convenient if you need to work online. The hotel itself is quite basic in every aspect: the breakfast is basic (basic+), the comfort is basic and the soundproofing is limited, be ready to hear your neighbours, including conversations and TV. During our stay, there were also two construction sites around the hotel. One of them was literally on the wall next to our room, which made it too noisy, starting at 6h45 am. This wasn’t the hotel’s fault, of course, but it did affect our experience. We asked if we could cancel the remaining two nights of our reservation because of the noise, but the manager declined. The staff kindly helped us change rooms, which improved both the smell and reduced one of the sources of noise. While the hotel met our expectations for a simple stay, it’s worth being aware of the current construction and the limited sound insulation if those are important to you.
