Centennial Hotel Tallinn

The Centennial Hotel Tallinn is located on a fairly busy road, but that was really the only downside. The hotel is easily accessible by bus, but as I did, you can also walk from the city center. It only takes about 20–25 minutes, and along the way you'll pass the National Library, a concert hall, a beautiful church, a lovely park, and several other interesting sights. There aren't any shops within the immediate vicinity (around 500 meters), but as I mentioned, the city center is close by. The hotel itself looks very modern and stylish, both inside and out. The entrance doors open automatically, and the lobby and reception area are welcoming and inviting. The receptionist was very friendly and, I have to admit, quite handsome. My room was on the fourth floor, and both the elevator and the hallway were in excellent condition. I found the room very cozy, and thanks to the higher ceilings, it didn't feel small at all. My room featured a large floor-to-ceiling window with transparent curtains as well as greenish-yellow(?) drapes. One thing that stood out was the extensive use of light-colored wood, which made the room feel even brighter, warmer, and more elegant. One feature I really want to highlight is the lighting. In my experience, about 9 out of 10 hotels have lighting that's far too dim, making the rooms feel unnecessarily dark - that's definitely not the case here. First, there are plenty of light fixtures, and second, they actually provide bright, effective lighting. The bed was also extremely comfortable—I slept almost nine hours on my first night. There was also a large flat-screen TV with countless channels, including several German ones. The bathroom was just as stylish and surprisingly spacious, offering enough of room. And the shower had excellent water pressure. Conclusion: I stayed here from Sunday to Tuesday, and the rates were very reasonable. At this price point, you normally wouldn't expect such a high-quality hotel. As someone who travels around 20 or 25 times a year, I do pay close attention to value for money, and for that reason, the Centennial Hotel Tallinn definitely ranks among my TOP 3 hotels. If I absolutely had (so if you force me) to criticize something, it would be the busy road outside. You can hear the constant background noise of traffic. But honestly, it didn't bother me that much. Conclusion: Tallinn is located in a somewhat less convenient part of Europe, and the weather is often not particularly inviting, but I was genuinely impressed by both the city AND the hotel. I'd be happy to come back.

Very reasonably priced hotel with a good buffet breakfast included. A short walk from Old Town and bus stops just outside the hotel. Room cleaning had to be requested and they only change towels and empty the bins.

Cosy hotel with convenient location. Comfortable large bed was definitely a benefit. Only con I can think of was noise from the nearby road - the windows were not soundproof enough.
