We booked a chalet with a patio where we can hangout. It was exceptional great experience where we enjoyed bring ourselves steamboat with cool breeze and environment. The second day was amazing with the Mount Kinabalu view. It was literally sit at the patio while enjoying the view while chatting and drinking coffee.

Booked a one-night stay at Caeser's Place and reserved the chalet with two queen-size beds. I suggested this place to my friends after reading countless glowing reviews describing it as "exceptional." Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing stays I've ever had. I wasn't expecting luxury. I knew it was supposed to be a basic accommodation. But "basic" at Caeser's apparently means no soap, no shampoo, no toothpaste, no floor mats, and not even bottled drinking water and single waste paper basket to be shared across the whole unit. Those are small things individually, but together they show a complete lack of attention to guest comfort. The receptionist provided bottled water and floor mats in the room only after we asked for it later in the night. The room itself was even worse. It had a strong damp smell, the curtains smelled musty, the bedsheets and pillowcases had an an unpleasant odour, and some were even torn. To make matters worse, we woke up feeling itchy with skin bumps, likely from dust mites. That alone is unacceptable for any accommodation. The final straw was the bathrooms. The hot water shower in one bathroom wasn't working at all. When I reported it to reception, the only explanation I got was that the maintenance person was on leave. No apology, no attempt to find a solution. We decided to make do with the second bathroom since we were leaving early the next morning. But guess what? That heater too stopped working. At that point, I lost my patience and literally, went banging on the reception door at 6am so we could be given another room just to take a shower and check out. At a glance the issues were minor inconveniences but on the whole, they reflect poor maintenance, poor housekeeping, and poor management. Clean bedding, functioning hot water, and basic toiletries are the absolute minimum any paying guest should receive. Personally, my stay experience fell below expectation that I keep wondering how did the other guests find it amazing on the first place.
