Great location. Close to many beaches and restaurants. Having 2 bathrooms and a full-size washer and dryer in a one bedroom unit was a bonus. Well manicured lawns and shrubs/palm trees. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed at Kamaole Sands and unfortunately had several issues that made the overall experience disappointing. The biggest concern was the large number of insects in the kitchen, including inside the cupboards. Because of this, we were uncomfortable storing or preparing food there. We had purchased food with the intention of cooking during our stay, but ultimately had to throw it away because of the insect issue. We also experienced Wi-Fi connectivity problems, which was inconvenient during our stay. Another major concern was the $295 cleaning fee. For the overall quality and experience, we did not feel this charge was justified. It made the total cost of the stay considerably more expensive. In addition, the extra cleaning fee was not clearly called out during the Agoda booking process, which made the final cost feel unexpected. The total price ended up being much higher than we anticipated when making the reservation. Kamaole Sands has a good location, but the combination of the kitchen insect problem, Wi-Fi issues, and the high/unclear additional fee made this stay poor value for the price. I hope management addresses the pest issue and improves transparency around additional charges.
