We spent 2 nights at Casey Key resort beachfront in July. The location is steps from the beach with a private walkway through the dunes. The property is renovated and updated much moreso than the other motels or condos we researched in the area. The decor inside the rooms and the landscaping made it feel almost luxury. I loved having morning coffee under the palm trees or sitting on the beach. The breakfast restaurant at the mainland hotel location was delicious and worth the drive over. My minor complaints: the salt and sea air make things corrode easily and quickly, so the door handle/latch kept sticking; the metal components of the toilet had rusted and were exposed; the water pressure was amazing but the shower curtain was not sufficient to keep the water inside the curbless shower pan so the floor flooded each time; the towel bars and grab bar were not sturdily installed, wiggling every time we used a towel. None of these would keep us from returning though. All staff we met were friendly and helpful!
