The Casablanca Inn is located in a quiet neighborhood of San Clemente away from the main pier/railway track. Plusses: 1. The free Red Trolley service has a stop on the inn's doorstep. A highly convenient transportation mode if one doesn't one to rent a car. The trolley runs to and from San Clemente Pier and through the main Del Mar downtown street. 2. The inn is a short stroll away to several small cafes and restaurants at the end of Los Molinas avenue, notably the Miramar Center's Food Hall which houses a variety of cuisines. Imagine a food court without the kitchens or foods on show in the front. Prices weren't cheap and food were served on disposable wares. 3. Rooms are generous in size. Beds and pillows are comfortable. 4. There's a small laundromat on site which's hardly used by guests. 5. Front desk staff were helpful Minuses: 1. Room furnishings are old. The air conditioning window unit worked but was noisy. Thankfully it went into Auto mode during the night so the fan shuts off and on. 2. Bathroom had only basic amenities of towels & hair dryer. The body wash dispenser wasn't filled and when I asked for it to be refilled, the housekeeping staff left it on the bathtub for us to insert into the dispenser ourselves.
