the staff was professional. I only met one person at our arrival. The person made sure that we knew the layout of the complex and that we had access to water coffee and the al fresco patio. He also gave us some info concerning how to shop , eat, and las Ramblas.

A really lovely gem in the middle of Barcelona, only 15/20 mins from the airport, a 3 min walk to the front/water and close to La Rambla, Soho House and restaurants. This is a self-check-in guest house - Not a hotel. So there are not staff present on arrival, you have to make contact with Casa Lirio as you land/arrive and they ask for the city tax payment, then provide you access to the property with the keycode and instructions over whatsapp... Not outlined at all prior to arrival, which was frustrating and felt a bit sketchy, when all you want to do is get inside! Once that debacle was over, was a lovely and convenient place to stay. I had a Deluxe Family Room to myself, huge room with shower and big bath, and a lovely little terrace/patio/balcony overlooking the courtyard. I didn't pay for breakfast as there is a shop nearby and cafes/restaurants, so can't comment on this, but seems silly to pay €14 on top for a continental, when you have the city on your doorstep! Nice and easy to go to/from super quick to most places - Harbourside, La Rambla, I walked to the Sagrada Familia (c.45mins) If you recognise this as a self check in and not a hotel, and accept that there won't be a decent staff presence, treat it more like an air bnb type room, then you'll be happy here for sure!
