    The place is great with nice view on the primary forest, from the restaurant/main hall. The staff is very helpful and professional, maybe o et-kind, even (we felt uncomfortable and overwhelmed with too many/frequent questions on how we are, if food is good, if everything is ok). Food is good but not exceptional, unless you ask for more local food rather than European style, they served us very nice local lamb meal. The rooms are ok, not luxurious but comfortable, with a great bonus on the balconies that overview the forest or trees. The road to access is a dirt road with steep climb but the local drivers manage that even with a small car (at least when no rain). You can access many activities from the hotel and the staff organize that for you very well, we appreciated that, as we were not there within an organized tour. We do recommend the place for sure.

    The lodge has exceptional views facing the room into the Bwindi. We had an amazing experience with the Gorilla tracking and the team ensured we met two families, Mubaare and Rushengura. The batwa community engagement was spotless. It was beautifully arranged. The staff are exceptionally hardworking and polite. The issue was the food. The food is terrible, and the menu is limited. There is a severe lack of attention to detail in meal preparation and service delays. There is a need for diligence in maintaining the standard of the room with house cleaning every day. Overall the experience was a plus, and the team noted our remarks. I would recommmend to stay. What is lacking in food, can be achieved in experience.
