Worst hotel on the budget side I’ve stayed at in Japan.
The building is slightly tilted plus the floors are bad. It makes you feel you’re walking on boat.
Things you notice checking in and on your way to your room:
-Many, many pairs of indoor slippers for use. Many different pairs and who’s used them?
-smell. Musty cigarettes.
-overflowing ash tray, recycling and trash cans.
-reception guy. In a wife beater with a cigarette in hand.
-cluttered hall ways. Cluttered with tables, chairs, heaters, washing machines, tv… you get the picture.
-floor. You don’t notice it at first but you know something doesn’t feel right when you’re walking to your room. Plus the floor warped and have soft spots. Felt like walking while on a ferry that’s cruising on a light breezy day. Your body does slight adjustments as you sway.
-bathroom. Baby tub is set at ground level. It’s a big step down. Tiles popped off the wall.
-toilet. Moves from the base!!! So it leaks. Toilet seat has furry cloth strips stuck on it. How does that thing get cleaned?
-stains. On the carpet.
Room:
-smell. Musty.
-bed. Not made. You do it yourself. Hair on your bed linen. Bed linen and blankets etc geared for winter. I was here mid July temp in the 30s.
-the heat! No ac or fan. Only a heater. When asked if there was a room with ac or if we could get a fan, the guy pointed at the open window and said it gets cold at night… After some talking, we got a Dyson that only spits air.
I’m sure there’s a few more things. I probably just blocked them out. I can edit later.
