I paid *** a night to stay here, which was pretty affordable but there are more affordable places to stay in the San Juan area. The free breakfast consiststed off bagels (with peanut butter, jam or butter), bread, granola bars, oranges, black coffee and apples. I think the best part of this hostel was the location, there are many restaurants in walking distance, a Walgreens close by, and public beaches within 15 mins. I does take about an hour to walk to Old San Juan from the hostel but it's an Uber ride of 8-15 mins. I have stayed in a few hostels before and this one was probably the least clean I have been to but you can't really blame the staff for that they do a great job cleaning once a day but with 18 people in a dorm there is inevitably a bunch of sand/hair everywhere. The shower always got clogged up after a few people showered so make sure you bring shower shoes or you will be standing in water your whole shower. During my 7 day stay the air-conditioning worked well probably 4 of the days, there was someone that came and worked on it while I was there. There were no bugs though besides mosquitoes and the staff were really helpful.
