    8 / 10Excellent·Nov 2024
A-Lodge is a great base for exploring the area around Boulder. We stayed in the king size suite which is a great size like a small apartment. Some of the furniture is a little tired and the shower could be more powerful but the bed is large and very comfortable. We walked into Boulder and back once, about 75 minutes each way along the Boulder Canyon path but the rest of the time we drove in (about 10 minutes each way). Definitely recommended.
    10 / 10Outstanding·Aug 2024
Our family of four stayed at the A-Lodge for three nights, as we moved our son to CU Boulder. It was only a few miles away, but the canyon location felt remote. We appreciated the kitchen in the room and the shared BBQ, pool, and hot tub. Most of us had to work remotely partial days, and the workspace had a great vibe. All for a reasonable price! Two areas for improvement: 1) more dishes and cups in the kitchen; and 2) more consistent wifi. (Wifi was generally strong, but periodically needed to be reset, especially in the early morning before staff started at 8 am.)

For the facilities and location, the only drawback would be for public transport users. You can use Googlemaps for bus timings but check them ahead of time because there is no reception in the canyon beyond the wifi perimeters of the hostel.

I’ve stayed at quite a few hostels, so far this is the bottom of the barrel
