Bottle Beach 2 Bungalows

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing stay. The way to the hotel is unsafe and extremely steep. There is only a pickup point you can reach by scooter, and from there you have to pay 100 baht per person for each transfer to the accommodation. This feels inconvenient and overpriced. The bungalow smelled moldy, was dirty, and the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. In the evenings, the staff were drinking alcohol until they were drunk. They even drove us while being drunk to the pickup point and by drunk I mean wasted! Furthermore, at night, drunk staff members were walking around the property, which made us feel very unsafe. During the transfer from the hotel to the pier, the driver was driving far too fast, even though a mother and child were in the vehicle, because the staff’s internal communication about the drop-off order did not work properly. This was extremely irresponsible and dangerous. Overall, the accommodation is not trustworthy, very unprofessional, and absolutely not recommended. A complete disaster.

If you are looking for rustic chill in an incredible location, this is the place for you. The bungalows are sea facing and literally 20 steps from the ocean. There is a restaurant 100.metres from.the bungalows with lots of varied food and drink choices. The bungalows are simple with a fan (no aircon) and cool water showers which some Travellers may not like. In my opinion, this is one of the most beautiful untouched places to visit on the southern thailand islands. Simply magical

Bottle Beach 2 resort is a beautiful place run by beautiful people. Khun Nok and Khun Gie built it, starting with a few wooden huts many years ago. Everything they have created is a labour of love. The location is paradise, and kept clean. You can hike to Bottle Beach, or easier to come by boat, and some 4x4s also arrive. Many clientele are day trippers, at night the beach is quiet with small groups. The rooms are basic, wood on concrete, mostly fan, with hammock facing the incredible sea view. Staff are all wonderful people. If you wish to travel to a luxury 5 star resort, this maybe not your place. But if your idea of luxury is to be with lovely people on a paradise beach, this may be for you. Sept 2025.

After 9 hour journey from Khao Sok we were left waiting in the port in for our transfer. I called and emailed to say what time we would arrive and now one showed up. Call again and was told can you wait 2 hours. We sorted our own taxi instead. On arrival miserable woman on reception no apology for transfer mess no welcome or any information. Just passed us the keys. Room was dirty mouldy someone’s left over razors ants all over the bathroom floor bed sheets stained. No mosquito net and offered one tomorrow. Lucky showed up same day. Toilet was broken and had been taken apart for repairs and left. Huts are very run down and a couple at the end of the beach half demolished and left. Expect wildlife to come visit as bathroom windows are just open and no net or meshing. In 1 hour we had 2x Huntsman Spiders and 3x cockroaches. Food wasn’t great but not terrible just very basic and a bit bland. Miserable women on reception then had pool queue taken off my kids when they were playing and said the we going to damage the table even though they were playing nicely and every other kid there was using it almost felt personal. When we left early didn’t ask why or even make eye contact. Moved to Smile down the beach similar price rooms are really nice and whole site is well maintained food is better and staff. Avoid at all costs go to Bottle 1 or Smile.
