The room was good. We were in the middle of the cyclone Ditwah, so there was electricity problem in whole negombo area. But they provided good service within their abilities. One thing, they don't have push shower in washroom, that's a bit problem for us. Also no restaurent they have, but there are so many options for that

Wouldn't recommend this place at all, but first the pros: 1. Great location. The beach is just about 250 m away 2. The room, washroom and bed linen were overall quite clean 3. Loads of restaurants on that lane So if you're looking for a place to crash for just for night, this could be an option. Now the cons: 1. The rooms are TINY..at least the ones on the ground floor are and feel very cramped for 2 people. 2. There were 100s of red ants all over, with some getting on the bed as well. The hostess was kind enough to give us some pest control chalk which we used on the floor around the bed. I saw another reviewer mentioning the red ants which the hotel had completely rebuffed and instead called out the guest (so i'm bracing myself for a similar response as well) 3. No provision for tea and coffee in the room. After some pleading from us and reluctance from her, the hostess agreed to make us some black tea. Very grateful to her for that, but it shouldn't come to this! Imagine having to leave for an early morning flight and having to wonder around the street for some coffee/tea first. For the price they're charging, they could definitely do better on the hospitality bit. Our requests for an extra comforter and bedsheets and even tea were first met with a big NO, although they eventually gave in after some reasoning. Despite the negatives, the staff, which is literally a one woman army, is doing a great job of holding fort. She was warm and has kept the place clean. They definitely need to do something about the red ants though! I wouldn't recommend this place for families or for people who are planning to stay for more than just a night at Negombo.
