Riding horses in Mongolia and watching the sun set by the river was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime dream vacation for us. Instead, Blue Spot Resort completely ruined the experience with non-existent customer service and zero hot water. After a freezing, grueling 3-hour horse ride, our aching bodies looked forward to warming up in a hot shower. There was no hot water. At 21:00, I notified the receptionist, who said someone would come fix it. No one ever showed up. The next morning, I requested a room change or compensation. The front desk flatly refused, hiding behind the excuse that we booked via a third-party app and "couldn't be discounted." (Even if that were true, they couldn’t even offer to discount a meal at their restaurant to make it right?)The next day, our tour guide intervened and translated in Mongolian. Management blamed a "communication issue," promised it would be fixed that day, and insultingly offered a discount on a taxi ride. We returned in the afternoon to lukewarm water—just enough to wash our hands. But after dinner, at 20:45, the hot water was gone again. The front desk told us to "wait 30 minutes." Two hours later, still freezing cold. The next morning, still no hot water. What makes this completely unacceptable is how miserably this resort fails its own advertised mission statement: The Reality vs. The Promise: Their mission claims: "To ensure complete guest satisfaction, we have paid special attention to our infrastructure development, implementing uninterrupted systems for electricity and heating." There is absolutely nothing "uninterrupted" or "satisfactory" about forcing guests to go multiple days without basic hot water to wash themselves after physical excursions. This could have easily been avoided with switching us to a room with running hot water. An important note for international travelers: I am a Korean-American living in South Korea. Around 60% of tourists in Mongolia are Korean, and this resort was filled almost entirely with Korean guests. In Korean culture, people rarely leave 1-star reviews on global platforms because of strict domestic defamation laws and a cultural preference for Naver over Google. A 3-star review from a Korean local is culturally equivalent to a 1-star warning. Because Korean tourists rarely cross over to Google to leave scathing reviews, this resort's rating is artificially inflated. Is this why management feels comfortable completely ignoring basic guest amenities and refusing compensation? They know their primary customer base won't publicly blast them on Google. This company is actively taking advantage of Korean tourists, maximizing their own profits, and showing a total disregard for the customer experience. Avoid this place at all costs.

The resort is really beautiful... our ger is fantastic and we truly had an awesome experience for our first time in Mongolia.

Very beautiful scenery. The ger and bungalow we stayed were perfectly clean and well-maintained. Hot water and smart TV were well-functioning. The reception lady, my bad I can't remember her name, was warmly welcoming, helpful and attentive. Construction was underway but it didn't bother at all. One thing to improve, just one staff in breakfast time which was limited for a lot of guests.
