Quaint hotel - Clean and simple with a free car park for customers. Rooms are a little dated but perfect for one night stay. Staff are always excellent! Location is a little far out if going to reading centre, but for a stop off, wedding or night away, a perfect find.

The hotel is very nice and value for money. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is good because you got shops are only a 15 minutes walk and Reading town is only a 20 minutes drive away from the hotel. The only problem was the cleaner because they didn't clean are room the 6 days we were there and it dose say daily housekeeping? We will stay again.

List of things wrong.
1. Dated property that needs updating and renovation
2. 2nd night very limited menu in restaurant with at least 6 items not available
3. Bath mat only left 1 of the 4 night stay
4. Only 1 bath towel left on penultimate night
5. No spare toilet roll so on last morning had to go to reception to get another
6. Shower gel ran out and not replenished for final morning.
7. Standard Best Western breakfast but no yogurts on one morning until delivery made later that morning. Limited fresh fruit available. Filter coffee left cold in machine on final morning.
Staff try their best to please however, but obviously not helped by management.
Not the best Best Western we've stayed in.

The rooms are very tired and the cleaners need some training as the room had crumbs in the drawers, cobwebs on coving, shower tray tray plughole was dirty with hair in it. Dirty brown food mark on bedside cabinet. Only 2 teabags , 2 white sugar sachets & 2 milks and could do with de-scaling the kettle.
The staff were very helpful, couldn't fault them
