    A highlight of our 8 nights in Beijing was 2 nights at Gubei Watertown. We did a night and a morning walk along Simatai Great Wall. The village is quaint with plenty of food options. Hotel excellent except no room cooling. Ruby helpful at front counter. Breakfast magnificent! Gubei Watertown is a must visit even if stay at cheaper hotel. Affordable bus from Wanjing West station 48rmb cash.

    Clean, neat and tidy. Thank you to the receptionist, Li Jun, who helped us upgrade to a family suite so we can see the Great Wall from our room. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

    Had a wonderful stay at this resort. The location is excellent, right inside Gubei Water Town with easy access to shops, attractions, and even views of the Great Wall from certain rooms. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Service was outstanding—staff were friendly, attentive, and made the stay feel seamless. The hot springs and overall atmosphere were the highlight, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Breakfast had a good variety, and the internal shuttle made it easy to get around the area. Overall, a unique and memorable experience. Would definitely come back again 👍
