Beacon Point Ocean View Villa

The property was well maintained with a stunning view of the ocean/bay area. Friendly staff that was available on the phone (as we reached very late). It’s located at a high elevation through winding roads so try and reach before sunset to avoid driving in the dark. All in all, this was a great property

It was comfy. Complete stuff that we need

We booked and paid for the Sheoak room via Agoda to celebrate a birthday, but on arrival were given the Osprey room — a cheaper option with no fireplace, outdated interiors, and lesser ocean view. The walls in the toilet and bathroom were marked and dirty, and the fan sounded like a chainsaw. We raised the issue with the caretaker/manager around 5pm, who told us the Sheoak was already occupied and now unavailable. He advised the owner was on holiday and we could only communicate via email. He contacted the owner via Whatsapp and they blamed Agoda, admitting this had happened before — completely shifting responsibility. We were told to contact Agoda if we had problems and no discount for a lesser room, mention of refund or alternative solution was offered. We eventually found and paid for other accommodation around 6:30pm after a stressful search, and only then received an apology — with the caretaker agreeing the room wasn’t up to standard. Also we were then offered the Valley View room, that lacked any ocean views. A little too late as we had already paid for our new booking. After traveling 3 hours to Apollo Bay, this experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Make sure you get what you pay for. Poor service, lack of accountability, and minimal care shown.
