    We stayed at Beach Shack for about a week and overall had a pleasant experience. The biggest highlights are definitely the staff and the location. The team was very friendly and helpful, gave us good local recommendations, and offered useful services such as laundry and a range of activities (that you could get elsewhere if you'd like). The location is fantastic, right on a beautiful beach in Juara village, Tioman. That said, there are a few improvements. We stayed in a room without air conditioning, which may have been mentioned in the original listing, but on a tropical island it would still have been greatly appreciated. The room also had no shelves or storage space at all, which made it difficult to organize our belongings, especially since leaving things on the floor is not ideal with ants and other insects around - although this is of course normal in a tropical environment. The room is entirely made of wood and has almost no sound insulation, and there was no mosquito net. The restaurant food was okay and convenient, although we found better options nearby. Make sure you try the food at Lepak Pondok, the bungalow next to beach shack and the fish at Shacka. The wooden beach loungers in front of the property are quite rustic and not particularly comfortable, and the hammock could also use replacing as it was torn in a few places and not very comfortable. Overall, Beach Shack has an amazing location and lovely staff, but a few simple upgrades to the rooms and beach facilities would make the stay much more comfortable.

    View memang cantik teramat. Absolutely amazing. Jika memang utamakan view, ini tempatnya. Cuma tak berapa sesuai untuk family. Facilities sangat biasa you cant expect much. Local vibes tak begitu ada sebab mostly tourist suka kawasan ini so pemandangan memang seksa seksi. Kami memang nak view dan local vibes. Local vibes tiada disini.

    Beach shack is located at the other side of the island. Facing the South China Sea. I like it because it’s quieter and less crowded. The place itself gives you local vibes with high sustainability index.

    Great beach view, rooms are very basic, nothing fancy. They really need to get mini fridges though as there is NO fridge to use there, not even a shared one. Also, we tried to keep different food and drinks in our room and these tiny ants always find it and ruin it so you cant keep food there. Also annoying that you cant keep cold drinks. It said breakfast included but they made me pay for my child. The food is nothing special and is over priced. It was OK. If I went again I would stay somewhere else. At night it gets very dark and dead. Also there's no lights outside or on the street so if you go out at night you can get lost. They could make some more improvements to the rooms and place.
