Beach Carousel

My stay at beach carousel was okay to say the least until the very end. I was only there for one night I checked in very late and I was leaving the next morning. Check out with at 11:00 a.m. I notified the cleaning stuff that I would not be out of there till at least 11:15. So I knew that most hotels have a grace period up to 12:00 p.m. until you are charged to late fee. But regardless I was not going to be out by 11:00 so I was aware that there could possibly be a late fee and I was okay with paying it. However I had to get in the shower because I had a very important meeting to be at in the early afternoon and at about 11:15 while I was in the shower I heard noise coming from inside of my room. I called out "hello" and do not receive any response but still continued to hear noise. I called out a second time and then I was met back with a male voice telling me that check out was at 11:00 a.m. I had but the bottom lock and the chain lock on the top of my door plus I was in the bathroom with the door locked. Nobody called my room phone, my cell phone, or when they entered the room alerted me that they were there. It wasn't until I called out twice before I was finally met with a response. I do not feel like there was any need for not one but two males to be in my room after coming through a locked door and knowing I was in the shower and was still there. I then got into somewhat of an argument through the bathroom door with one of the men that was in my room stating that they had no business being in my room and that that is completely disrespectful unsafe and problematic. The man continued to argue with me about it being now 11:20 a.m. and I was still there. I had to ask him to leave my room so that I can vacate the shower because I obviously had no clothes on and needed to get dressed. They slowly exited my room and then continued to yell at me through the exterior door. My belongings have been rummaged through my wallet was now open sitting on the dresser and $20 was missing out of it. Luckily that was the only cash I had in there so that was the only thing that could be taken. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone especially a single female traveling alone. I'm not sure exactly what their intentions were being in my room unannounced without my knowledge or consent and it made me feel very unsafe and uneasy.

Would never stay again

Clean room, spacious room, and bathroom. It needs updating since it looks of the Late 60s to 70s Style but not a bad hotel 1 block from ocean front.
