We booked 2 nights at the BBQ Hostel Halong bay 2. The hostel is high on the hill above the harbour. (Halong Bay Beverly Hills). However, just a short 29 mins stroll down the hill and about £2 for a Grab taxi back.
The hostel is very clean and modern. There is a glass sided lift ( elevator) to all four floors. The rooms are spacious, clean and the bed was large and comfy. The bathroom had a separate shower room and was modern and stylish.
The breakfast on the Fourth floor was either omelette, or fried egg toasted sandwich, coffee and fruit.
Most importantly the staff were friendly and helpful. They helped us with transport to and from Hanoi.
Overall a great experience at the BBQ hostel 2. I would recommend this hostel for anyone wanting to stop the night or more in Halong Bay
