It was late, my car had died 3 or 4 miles away and had to walk in the dark, up North Roan St and pouring down rain, and about 42 degrees outside. Friendly, helpful, and patient. Allowed me to stand inside the lobby to warm up and knock the chill off me. the awesome front desk attendant, didn't charge me a deposit, even though i had booked through the Agoda app.

I was happy with my stay, property is a little dated, but rooms are upgraded nice. Bed was comfortable. Far enough off the highway where you don’t hear anything, close enough to be anywhere in Johnson city conveniently

Staying at the Baymont Inn was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and that’s saying a lot. The room was absolutely filthy. The carpet was so disgusting that within minutes of walking on it, the bottoms of my feet were literally black. That’s not an exaggeration — it was like walking across a doormat that hadn’t been cleaned in years. It made me seriously question if this place even owns a vacuum. The furniture looked like it had been dragged in from a junkyard. Everything was beat up, scratched, dented, and worn down beyond belief. Nothing about the room looked maintained or cared for. It felt less like a hotel room and more like an abandoned roadside crash pad. Then there were the beds — which were beyond nasty. The thought of actually sleeping in them was revolting. The entire room had that grimy, neglected, “who-knows-what-has-happened-in-here” feeling that makes you want to leave immediately and shower somewhere else. But the most infuriating part is that they kept my security deposit. I have called every single day since checking out, and somehow nobody can tell me why they’re keeping my money. Every time I call it’s the same story: no answers, no accountability, just excuses and runaround. Apparently customer service and basic honesty are not priorities here. Between the disgusting conditions and the shady way they handle customers’ money, this place should be embarrassed to call itself a hotel. If cleanliness, basic standards, and getting your deposit back matter to you at all, do yourself a favor and stay literally anywhere else.
