Banamboo

The place is honestly a bit far from the main road, but it’s well known among locals, so you can simply ask a habal-habal or tricycle driver to drop you off directly at the property. One advantage of this, though, is how peaceful it is since it’s far from the main road and its usual noise. The room was spacious enough for me and actually quite affordable considering it can accommodate up to four people and already includes breakfast. It had an air conditioner, an air purifier, and basic supplies. The comfort room, located in a separate room just behind the main room, was also spacious and had a water heater and bidet (big plus points!!). The caretakers were very kind and accommodating. When I arrived, I was sweating from walking from the main road, and they quickly provided cold drinking water when I asked. Upon checkout, they also assisted me with arranging transportation to Moalboal. Just two things that I believe would make the place even better: adding more light sources in the room and having the air conditioner checked, as it occasionally makes some noise. Overall, I had a really great and relaxing stay. Looking forward to my next visit!

This was an amazing little mom and pop bungalow cabin set in a beautiful garden setting. The property is manicured and well cared for. The staff was super friendly and helped with the Kawasan canyoneering booking picked up at the property. There’s no restaurant on site so you’ll need to take that into consideration but there is a nice corner store for snacks and baked goods and restaurants close by but you’ll want to book transportation and the tri-bike operators were asking ridiculous prices, just something to be aware of. Would definitely stay here again!!

Let me say that the host was lovely and the gardens are beautiful. After a full day of diving we wanted to stay somewhere close to the canyoneering. Putting a bag of nuts down resulted in the local ant population moving in. No biggie, we told the host and she sorted it. There was one tiny blanket on the bed, no top sheet. I went and asked for an additional blanket and was given a single sheet for our queen size bed. It was too hot to turn the air con off but too cold without blankets, so not much sleep was had. When we couldn’t flush the toilet without removing the cistern and filling it up from the shower, I started to get upset. There are really limited dining options in this whole area, unless you give in and eat the only food readily available, which is fried chicken. I’m not a princess and know that you get what you pay for, but this was honestly a horrible experience. We left early without the included breakfast.
