    We had a wonderful stay at Bakery Hotel Château Dor. The location was excellent, the room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The bakery downstairs was a real bonus, with delicious fresh food and coffee. It was a great base for exploring Nara, and we would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

    Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Staff were very friendly. My room came with breakfast. There were cookies, anpan, coffee, and tea in the late afternoon to evening which I really enjoyed. There was a terrace were you could enjoy beer that you could order. So close to Kintetsu Nara station. Would definitely consider staying here again and I'd recommend it to friends and family.

    Lovely hotel, room very basic but had everything we needed. Brekkie in the morning was nice (toast, salad, tea/coffee). Location is great for Nara park. Would stay again!

    I checked in late at night at Bakery Hotel Chateau Dor, and the stay overall was comfortable. The room was clean, quiet, and suitable for a short visit. Service was generally good. The staff were not as affectionate or overly warm as some reviewers described, but they were helpful whenever I needed information or assistance. They answered questions clearly and handled check in efficiently, even late at night. It is easy to reach from Kintetsu-Nara Station, but the main attractions like Todaiji Temple and Nara Park are a bit of a walk away. The environment is calm enough for a restful sleep and there is a big dinning areas nearby. However, if breakfast quality and hospitality are important to you, the experience may not live up to the overly positive past reviews. Breakfast was the main disappointment. Many older reviews mentioned that the toast was amazing, but honestly, it wasn’t anything special. The toast was not chunky or distinctive — just one standard slice. I selected butter as the topping, and they provided a very small piece, even smaller than a HKD 1 coin. When I politely requested an additional piece, they refused, and they didn’t offer an option to purchase more either. The whole experience came across as unnecessarily strict, especially over something so minor. Overall, it was a decent stay, but definitely temper your expectations for breakfast.
