Location 5 stars. New hotel but the room fixtures looks very cheap (table, chairs, carbines, and bathroom looks very cheap Chinese free market style. Don’t look forward to see European luxury style, not even close.

Avani is truly a new treasure in a great location. The hotel is positioned on the corner of two streets so that angle gave it a very impressive look. When it's lit up at night time it looks like a magnificent oasis that beckons you to come in. The staff were very attentive and ready to serve. I went on the second soft opening day and yet the staff were already experienced at receiving guests. The room is modern and has plenty of storage areas. I love the shower with the rainfall head and enjoyed how hot the water gets! I had a little incident with the bathroom (it flooded cause construction team forgot to take out something in drainage part) and quickly the staff came to take care of it for me. I wasn't feeling well the second day and the sales manager Louise sent me a beautiful vase of white flowers. Kevin at front desk was very helpful and sweet. Loney the bellman I believe was so quick at getting there and helping me load up my suitcases into the LOCA car. Since its soft opening amenities weren't at full capacity. But I'll be back and stay here again to enjoy all the wonderful amenities and feel like I'm well taken care of by an amazing staff team!

1. The staff are very friendly and helpful and kind. 2. The hotel is newly opened and most facilities such as the bar, coffee shop and restaurant are not yet open. 3. The room we stayed had not much furniture or decoration compared to other hotels we have stayed at in Vientiane. The walls were bare white, no pictures or decoration. Not much furniture in the room and a lot of bare space.. felt like moving into a new apartment which you haven't yet made comfortable. 4. The console in the living room has the minibar, coffee machine and kettle all on one small shelf. Bring your own cups since the 2 large ones provided cannot fit under the spout of the machine to make coffee. The console has some other shelves and drawers on other levels but they are all empty so also need to bring your own cutlery, glasses and other amenities you might want. 5. In the bedroom the only furniture other than the small bedside tables is, coloured bright orange and an oval shape. There are no other sideboards, shelves or places place your items or fill the space but you can put things on the floor. 6. The views from this room face directly onto the wall of the balcony area which blocks any view or light into the room. When you step onto the it there is one single chair provided plus a very small table (no relaxing chairs or sofa) and no greenery or decoration. 7.. Knowing we were celebrating an event during our stay the staff at check-in kindly offered to arrange a welcome gift. When it was delivered it was a single apple, mango and one other whole fruit, all uncut and served on a flat plate. It was funny for us, different from what we might expect at other hotels advertising this standard.
