    The stay was awesome. Location is very beautiful.. staff are very friendly… the swimming pool was dirty and water is not clear … below average swimming pool …. My overall rating is 8/10 … except swimming pool the stay and everything is fantastic… especially we really enjoyed the off-road journey…

    I booked this hotel after seeing the really high ratings, even before I reached this hotel, the hotel manager Sunil Warghese stayed in touch with me and asked me to inform him 40 mins prior to reaching the hotel so that they can send a jeep to pick me up. From the moment I sat in the jeep, to the terranious ride up to the hotel, the hotel room, the facilities inside, the restaurant just 5-6 stair steps away from the hotel room, and the view that I got from there, I was BLOWN away. I couldn't be more proud of my decision to book this hotel. The staff was amazing. Their jeep drivers were extremely nice. And they have an auto driver on contract, Riyas, who can take you sight seeing. Riyas was extremely hospitable to me, took me for sight seeing on 2 consecutive days, and charged me 1800 rs for each day which I think was fair. If you want to go sight seeing, u can talk to the jeep drivers or the hotel manager and they will give u the contact number of Riyas. The food at the restaurant? Tbh I though the prices were a little on the higher end compared to the usual food prices in Kerala, especially paying 389 rs for Kadhai paneer didn't feel right to me. The location is a MAJOR HEADACHE and the only reason why I've given it 1/5 stars. It's approximately 2 kms away from the roads, on a hilly terrain, the ride up and down there from a jeep was a pain even for a physically fit young man for me, I can't even think of bringing my old age parents here. Also, the ride is extremely risky, yes the jeep drivers are skilled, but one small mistake can send you cartwheeling into the slopes. Also, you will be essentially cut off from the rest of the city and u won't be able to leave your hotel without the jeep provided by hotel manager, and these jeeps have timings, from 5 am to 9 pm. If you have a medical emergency at night, or if you have a basic necessity, you really can't do anything about it. The prices are great, the hotel staff is great, the hotel manager Sunil is an amazing man, but the location is a big big issue. I was lucky it didn't rain a single time during my stay, but if it rains heavily, and this terranious route gets water logged...I'm glad I didn't have to experience that.

    We had to park our car in their plfree parking at the valley, and travel in their jeep up the hill. The journey upto the hotel was uncomfortable, but adventurous. Rooms were not premium quality. The sink in our bathroom was broken. Lighting was not enough. Food was a disappointing as we expected authentic Kerala food but got north indian food. This was unexpected and we were not happy about. Free breakfast was not worth the money. The view from our room and the overall location made up for the negatives. Wonderful concept, but poorly managed place.
