Located in Greek town. Within walking distance of many restaurants, bars etc. The room was spacious and clean. Parking garage right across the street.

Lovely hotel, central location. Easy walking distance to the river front and campus Martius Park. Surrounded by Greek town for food places. Hotel has a free shuttle service within 5mile radius which was a bonus to us. Approximately 30minutes from the airport. We would definitely stay again when back in Detroit.

A professional wedding planner put together an incredible event including service and reception/dinner at Masonic Temple. I know why she chose the Atheneum-everyone there was wonderful to guests - valets and Door Captains were great and most welcoming. Front Desk handled things promptly sent us up to a most unique yet practical design I have ever seen in any hotel. Great suite- noise not an issue as front door to room is about a half city block from your King Size bed. Two TVs separated by a hallway and four stairs give you true solitude if that is what you choose. Location is spectacular and I am very grateful that the couple chose to have their event downtown since I saw so much and enjoyed every minute. Do NOT pay $40/night valet fee… the other three corners of this intersection offer full day rates under $15!

I believe it is over priced. The hotel is outdated, hotel floor hallways, walls need to be updated. Only one elevator was working the entire 2day stay. One time there was a line to stand in from the lobby to the elevator as we guests awaited to get onto the only working elevator. The hotel rates are extremely above the top. Atheneum use to be top notch. Its giving 2-star now and the prices should reflect as such
