Asean Hotel

Unfortunately, my stay at ASEAN Hotel was quite disappointing, and there were several things that made the experience unnecessarily inconvenient. First, I had an issue with the elevator. When I tried to enter the password/code to access the 1st floor, it simply would not let me go there, and I had no idea why. I ended up having to take the stairs down and ask the receptionist for help. Thankfully, going from the basement to the 1st floor did not require a password, otherwise this would have been even more inconvenient. The shower area also needs improvement. There was nowhere to place the shampoo, body wash, or other toiletries, so I had no choice but to put the bottles directly on the shower floor. This is a very simple thing that could easily be fixed by installing a small shelf or rack. The breakfast was probably the biggest disappointment. There were very limited choices, and I essentially had no choice but to eat the simplest meal provided. The options included traditional Vietnamese noodles that were meant to be dipped in sauce, giò (Vietnamese pork sausage/processed pork, commonly served with bánh mì), and pancakes that were quite oily and lacked flavor. The banana was honestly the most enjoyable part of the breakfast. I appreciate that the hotel was offering local Vietnamese food, but there should still be some variety and better-quality options for guests. Overall, I expected a more comfortable and convenient stay, but several basic aspects of the hotel experience fell short. The issues with the elevator, lack of basic amenities in the shower, and especially the limited breakfast options made my stay less enjoyable than expected. I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements for future guests.
