    Enjoyed every minute, 3 nights stay and i wish to have stayed longer. The bed the shower the TV and the veranda w a Volcano view. Wifi is good. Theres a microwave range at the basement along w the coin laundry and vending machine. Theres a bus stop nearby to get you to the train station so no worries . Theres a port with ferries that go to the other side. And the Nishimuta market is walking distance. Worth it i reccommend art hotel.

    While the panoramic views of Sakurajima and the volcano are absolutely breathtaking, that is unfortunately the main highlight of the Art Hotel in Kagoshima. Beyond that stunning outlook, the experience leaves much to be desired, especially given the high standards typically expected in Japan. The rooms feel tired with dated furniture in desperate need of an upgrade, and the cleanliness, particularly in the bathroom, did not meet expectations. Service was equally unremarkable; the staff were neither rude nor particularly friendly, often coming across as dismissive. Between the neglected outdoor pool and the underwhelming onsen enclosed by a fence that blocks the view, I cannot recommend this hotel for the quality of the stay.

    We picked the mountain view room and it definitely did not disappoint. Watching Mt. Sakurajima from our room, both day and night, was such a treat. Plus, it’s an easy walk to the pier in the morning.

    The hotel room is miserably small & price is the highest among the hotels stayed in Kyushu. Only the view of Mount Sakurajima is visible from hotel room lobby. No restaurant nearby except in the hotel. Recommend staying near Tenmonkan Street
