The hotel was not what we expected. It was separate from main building . No elevator just stairs . No TV . Facilities were as basic as you can imagine . Furniture was not as advertised. I checked out 2 hours after checking in .

We were disappointed with our stay at Anthea Hotel. The staff were always polite and friendly, but the service was poorly organized. In the restaurant, we had to wait a long time just to place our order and receive our drinks, even though there were only a few tables occupied. After waiting around 40 minutes, our main courses arrived, but our starter never did. We were told it would be served later, so we cancelled it. Throughout our stay, different waiters kept serving our table, and it seemed that nobody was actually responsible for our order. This made the service feel chaotic, so we decided to have lunch and dinner elsewhere for the rest of our holiday. The air conditioning in our room was also a problem. It was either off or blowing very cold air continuously, making it impossible to keep the room at a comfortable temperature during the night. Before our early departure, we arranged with reception to receive takeaway sandwiches instead of breakfast. We were assured this would be prepared, but when we arrived to leave, nothing had been arranged because the information had not been passed on. I also sent this feedback directly to the hotel before posting this review but unfortunately never received a response. The hotel has potential, but it needs much better organization and communication.
