    Some of the nicest staff. The welcoming rep Prime specifically was wonderful. Lots of complimentary activities within the resort - really a plus! Quality breakfast! Not a a big spread but for us, it was a good enough selection with daily variations. LOVED the daily bacon pile - cooked perfectly to my preference + the authentic batirol tableya drink available daily. Simple resort layout with access to Alona beach. Enjoyed our dinner at The Lost Cow. Superb food quality. Though service could be improved esp when staying at the private room. For improvement: -Housekeeping quality/consistency No finesse on housekeeping knocks. Esp when you're on vacation and want to sleep in, the unexpected knocks and loud “housekeeping” announcement at 9/10am terribly not appreciated. Inconsistent provision of complimentary small room snacks & drinks. -Room facilities maintenance Sliding door to the veranda was extremely heavy i couldn't open it and my husband hated how heavy (unmaintained) it is Hair dyer was also icky. There was a gross sticky substance on our hair dryer handle with a strand of hair stuck to it. Had housekeeping check on it the ff day. There was improvement after they kept the room but there were still some residue that made me not want to use it the entire 4day stay. Very squeaky bed and mattress too soft for our liking. Not the bed sleeping experience.

    I booked sea view room, but it’s at the first floor and mostly the view blocked by trees, the staff didn’t inform us. Even the hand soap and lotion are empty when we get in. It’s kind of a bad experience….

    Amorita Resort Bohol Review Service The service was excellent. Every staff member I dealt with was friendly, spoke fluent English, and paid close attention to what I needed. Room Condition The rooms were clean and showed no real signs of aging. Staff responded quickly whenever I had a question. One strong recommendation: bring a replaceable shower filter. The resort seems to use well water, and after four days my filter was noticeably dirty. I was very glad I brought one. Pools There are two pools. The larger one sits next to the outdoor restaurant. The smaller one, behind the lobby, is an infinity pool overlooking Alona Beach. That one was my favorite. It is very photogenic and works as a photo spot during the day, but it fills up quickly. Amorita vs. Henann Henann, the large resort right next door, is the first thing you see when you walk down to the beach through Amorita's private entrance. I was deciding between the two, and I'm glad I chose Amorita. Henann is much bigger and draws a lot of families, which has its upsides. I wanted something quieter and more private, and Amorita delivered that. Location and Access Amorita is about a 15-minute drive from the airport, at the end of a road beside Alona Beach. It has two entrances. The main road entrance feels more like a back alley, so I rarely used it, especially at night. The other is a private beach entrance, the last one at the end of Alona Beach, with a staff member on duty 24/7 who checks your name and room number. You will probably use this one the most. It leads straight onto the beach, and the main Alona Beach strip with its bars and restaurants is a 10 to 15-minute walk away. I felt completely comfortable walking into town this way. Activities I didn't try any activities myself, but the resort offers yoga on certain days and archery for kids. Although Amorita has an exclusive feel, I saw plenty of families as well as couples. There is a lot to enjoy without leaving the property. Food The food was very good, with a mix of Filipino-inspired dishes and familiar Western options. Prices are high by local standards, which is expected at a five-star resort. The quality impressed me enough that on a few days I ate at the resort instead of heading into town, just to save time. Fitness Center I'm a workout junkie, so this won't matter to everyone. The gym is modest: dumbbells up to 50 lb, a few machines, treadmills, bikes, and a small yoga area. It isn't a full gym, but it got the job done for my dumbbell-focused sessions. No complaints, just set your expectations accordingly. Airport Transfer I used a private vendor to get to the resort. For the return trip I booked the resort's airport transfer, which cost an extra 1,000 pesos. That is on the pricey side locally, but the alternative is going out of the resort to find a Tuk Tuk yourself. I was happy with the service. Overall I highly recommend Amorita. It was the getaway I needed after several days of work in Manila. If you want a private, exclusive resort with beautiful pools, this is the place. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Bohol.
