Nice older hotel in great location (near the water taxi) with very helpful staff. Given the prices in San Pedro, it's a good value. I had a 'family' room with several beds, refrigerator, and microwave, so I could make my own cocktails and make an omelet for breakfast, if that's important to you. I would stay here again.

The host is easy-going & the staff at Ambergris Sunset hotel are cheerful. Our budget room is basic yet got all that we needed for a good rest before we set out further away from San Pedro downtown. We like the rooftop for panoramic views of the sea & how easy it is right next to a quiet pier with spectacular sunset views.

A perfect place to stay if you are looking for a basic yet comfortable room. Staff was friendly and right on the harbor for a perfect sunset view. In the heart of town so walking distance to everything!

Pillows were awful.. flat as a pancake. I did not get any sleep at all. Bed lumpy and no TV which was OK. Staff very nice and courteous.
