I walked in spontaneously looking for a last-minute room and noticed that the price on Agoda was cheaper than the walk-in rate. When I asked the receptionist and the manager if they could match the online price, they completely refused. I literally had to sit on their lobby sofa, book the room online myself, and walk back to the desk 10 minutes later just to check in. To make matters worse, the staff was entirely unattentive, unenthusiastic, sluggish and showed an absolute lack of passion for customer service. Since it was 12:00 PM, my room wasn't ready yet—which I understand. However, the cherry on top was how they handled it. I was bluntly told to come back in an hour and that "maybe" the room would be ready by then. Basic hospitality would dictate saying: "Dear client, please go have a drink by the pool, enjoy the beautiful view, and I will give you a call the second your room is ready."
On the other hand, service at the pool bar, bell boy, breakfast really professional, charming and passionate.
