The room was a standard budget room but the issue is it’s self check in with no one around to help with issues (albeit respond to emails).
It’s almost impossible to find the property as there is no signage on the street. I imagine as it’s not a hotel, rather a fourth floor apartment, they would not be permitted to place signage.
The long passageway and terrible entrance to the block and very poor view across to the neighbouring apartment block added to a poor experience.
I was not sent a door code so could not gain entry and had just arrived in Albania standing outside with no wifi.
It was stated that payment would be made at the time of check in but I was sent a message at 9.00pm on my first night asking me to go downtown and pay at a mobile phone accessory shop, who take payments for them. Or if someone had to come to the building I’d have to pay cash. Hotels don’t operate like this.
I also discovered that when clicking on the “Email the property” link in the Agoda app the email address that came up was *** I believe this same person has posted 2 glowing 5 star reviews on Trip Advisor about this being the best hotel they have ever stayed in. I have reported these as they contravene the codes governing reviews on hotel booking apps.
