    The facility is very nice and unique and has a modern feel. The staff is incredible; among the best I’ve encountered worldwide. A couple of things to be aware of; the building is mixed use and so the layout is somewhat convoluted. If it is your first stay, the staff will lead you to the room because the path is pretty complex. In our case we had to take the elevator to the 27th floor, walk-through the restaurant then take another elevator bank back down to our room floor. The elevators are unique in my experience, you select the floor you want then it will assign you an elevator. At that point you’re just along for the ride because. It will go where it was dynamically assigned. When the elevator stops, there’s no indication of where it is a small LED screen on the door displays the next assigned value. Functionally it’s no different than an elevator with physical buttons, but it can be somewhat disconcerting. We overheard many people complaining about the elevators. Another note for families, especially those with teen girls like us - The ‘questionable’ parts of town don’t have identifiable boundaries like Bangkok for example. Ad Lib can't really be categorized as ‘Business’, ‘Family’ etc. You will encounter the entire range. No judgement, just stating reality. That said the hotel has great security with personnel stationed at strategic spots throughout the property There is adequate underground parking or registered guests, which is a plus since parking is nonexistent downtown

    We stayed several times at this hotel and decided not to come back, since the staff (especially female staff) were condescending towards my Thai wife, presuming that she was a former bar girl. At the restaurant they served bread that was hard as a rock and had obviously been prepared in the morning for breakfast. For older people the bed can be difficult to get in/off.
