    I've stayed numerous times and noticed that ACES is not very consistent with their service and facilities although generally I am satisfied with the overall product. Here are some points to note: 1. Staff are not very friendly. Except on one occasion when it was Ray, think she was an executive who was very helpful and accommodating. The others don't greet or smile. 2. One nice feature of the room is the bedside night light. Unfortunately it is no in every room, or maybe the bulbs are burnt out for some and were never replaced. Please check ALL the rooms. This is because after switching off the room lights near the entrance one has to walk in the dark to the bed when there is no bedside night light. 3. Strangely not every room has a luggage rack. The last 2 times of my stays I was given a room with no rack, so I've to put my bags on the floor. 4. I wish BERJAYA HOTELS / ACES would consider having 2 SOFT & 2 hard pillows in all rooms. Although the 4 pillows in each room are much appreciated, but the present pillows are just too HARD! I'm sure BERJAYA hotels would like to uphold certain level of standard too even if it is a budget category line.

    Stayed here many times. Staff training ought to be enhanced as they lack 'people centric' skills. This is after all a BERJAYA HOTEL & there is a minimum standard to adhere to though this may be classified as a budget hotel. They don't smile. They don't greet. They don't offer suggestions. They don't recognise repeat guests like myself. To be fair, they perform their job efficiently. No hassle checking in and out. Rooms & public area are clean. It's the little touches that makes a big difference. Eg. when I approach the front desk, they don't look up immediately (yes, they are seated) and smile and say something to make you feel welcome but continue staring at the computer screen until they are finished. At least on some of my stays, even the guards at the lift and downstairs would call the lift and open the entrance door respectively whenever they see me. In the room, I would appreciate if the hotel maintenance dept. would go through and make sure that the 'bedside night light stands' are working. More than half the time the 'bedside night light stand' does not work in the rooms that I was allocated. This is VERY IMPORTANT as I can't control the lights by the bedside. So I'd to walk over the the entrance switches to turn out the lights and walk back to my bed in TOTAL DARKNESS. During my last stay I was given a torn & stained bath towel. Housekeeping especially Laundry Dept. should be more stringent in detecting this. Housekeeping would not know once it is folded. Other than these little things I'm happy with my stays here.

    My overall experience was okay, but I was really disappointed by the attitude of one of the staff members, a Malay guy. I saw him being very rude to foreign guests. They were simply asking questions, yet he kept cursing and speaking to them disrespectfully. I felt really bad for them. Staff should treat every guest with respect, regardless of where they come from. Behavior like this creates a negative impression of Malaysian hospitality. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I won’t be returning. The staff member came across as rude and arrogant, as if he owned the hotel.
