The stay was really peaceful and I met many international travellers and made friends with them. The staff Karim, Chris and others were really friendly. I would definitely recommend Ace Inn Shinjuku for solo travellers or friends who wants to stay close to Shinkuju in downtown Tokyo. I have been a returning guest and I will surely come here again in the years and decades to come !!

    - A bit further than expected from Shinjuku station however, 2-min away from Akebonobashi station. - You need to pay for the towels but shampoo/body wash is provided for free in the showers (showers are free as well, separated from the men's) - Half of the laundry machines and dryers are out of service. The dryer will leave your clothes humid after 30 min. - The women room is okay. Not too dirty but dusty here and there. - The lockers are too small to put a suitcase but you can leave your suitcase on the first floor. - Several bathrooms on the women's floor. - The staff is friendly and speaks English. - There is a convenience store not far away from the hostel too. - It's quiet outside. However, since it's a shared large bedroom, you can hear anything and there are more than 20 beds in one large space so noise is unavoidable. If you sleep well through noise, I would recommend it. The girls are usually quiet around midnight but could be late for someone who needs to get up early.

Easy to move around many places via subways and can get good food nearby

Transport was the main positive, but overall the stay was disappointing. The bathroom and amenities fell short, sleep was not comfortable, and housekeeping was unsatisfactory. The facilities and staff were also a major letdown, Kareem was only good person in whole staff while the location and value for money did not make up for these issues.
