    I stayed at this hotel from Friday 28 August to Monday 31 August and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. On arrival, I was informed by the receptionist that the hotel did not have a room available for me due to a leak. I was told I would need to stay at a hotel across the street for the first night, then check out and move back to the AC Marriott the following day. Reluctantly, I went to the other hotel to check in, only for a member of the AC Marriott staff to come over and apologise, explaining that they had made a mistake and that I was actually expected to stay at a Marriott sister hotel approximately 15 minutes away by car. At that point, I requested a refund, and remarkably a room then became available at the AC Marriott. The entire situation took around an hour to resolve and completely disrupted the start of my trip. To make matters worse, when I arrived home, I discovered that an item of clothing was missing from my luggage. I contacted the hotel to enquire whether anything had been handed in, but unfortunately nothing was found. Overall, this was a very poor experience from start to finish. The confusion on arrival, wasted time, and missing personal belongings left a very negative impression. As a result, I will think twice before choosing the Marriott brand again, whether for business or leisure travel.
