Old Cottage

While the location is on a busy road there is not that much noise at night. Located in the town makes it easy to walk to all the shops, cafe's and pubs which is nice. The Priory Inn does a good Sunday Roast. Some people have commented that parking is difficult, but we always found space in the long term car park at the other end of the main street and were able to move the car in the evenings after the stores close.

The kitchen was awkward to move around in and not well supplied for self catering. It would have been nice to have a larger supply of logs and instructions on how the damper actually works for the wood burning stove.

a charming cottage in a lively market town - perfect for antique hunters.

lively town, much interesting architecture, many shops nearby. beautifully decorated period home, owners were available when a small problem arose, dealt with it professionally, very helpful. the kitchen is well stocked with amenities, well lit. in beautiful, warmer weather, the back patio would have been lovely to use.

should be noted the stairs, in a period home, are narrow and steep, at times off kilter, so a bit of a challenge with those with mild mobility issues, care is required. a small night light for the main bathroom would be very helpful as the stairs to access it from the first floor bedroom in the dark are a little tricky.

"A truly lovely and comfortable stay" ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The cottage was very homely and absolutely lovely, just as shown in the pictures. Everything was exactly as described, and it felt welcoming from the moment we arrived. It was spotlessly clean and well-equipped with everything you could need for a short stay. The hosts even left us a delicious cake and all the essentials we’d need, which was such a thoughtful touch. The whole process, from booking to check-in, was smooth and hassle-free, and the hosts were very responsive and helpful. Overall, it was a really wonderful stay with nothing at all to complain about. Highly recommend!

Definitely not a complaint, as we were aware before our arrival, but just something to note: the cottage is on a slightly busy road near Tetbury Fire Station, so it may be a little noisy for some.

Deceptive advertising - Christmas cottage was cheaper and better.

Clean and reasonable facilities.

The property was not as advertised, the traffic noise was terrible, the bed uncomfortable and not at all up to the standard of the other place we stayed at in Tetbury a week earlier.

The ideal country retreat.

It is the perfect cottage. It’s almost film like due to its quaint and comfortable interiors.

Its a little noisy as it’s by the main road but the location makes up for it as you are next to all the amazing shops, restaurants and walks.

Well appointed and equipped. Cosy place, lots of helpful guidance and instructions before the stay. Amazing location to walk to the village. Would recommend

Uneven floors and staircase makes it dangerous for anyone who isn’t a healthy adult. Not suitable for kids or anyone less than mobile. This is in the property description so we were forewarned however it was worse than expected. Also two parts of the staircases where you could hit your head on the ceiling. The kitchen is quite cramped so not really possible to sit at the table

Absolutely lovely home in Tetbury!

This home was decorated so cute--we loved it! The fresh flowers and cake were such a nice touch! Two of our group are in their 70's so it was a big of a hike up the stairs for them (and our luggage was a bit tricky getting up the stairs). But it was a darling home and we loved being there.

We loved everything but the narrow stairways.

Cute cottage ideal for two in centre of Tetbury

Lovely old dog friendly cottage within easy walking distance of Tetbury . It was very warm and cosy despite the dreadful weather we had at the time . Little touches like fresh flowers and a cake on arrival were appreciated.

Parking is main drawback but no big issue . Difficult to get a spot outside the house to unload bags etc. but was a car park across the road

A wonderful, comfortable and relaxing break

Lovely to walk into a beautiful, cosy little house and find lamps lit and cake and fresh flowers waiting for us - immediate relaxation! Well equipped and beautifully decorated and so close to the centre of Tetbury. Somehow managed to leave a bag of presents behind but host messaged me and posted on very quickly - much appreciated!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this convenient, characterful little cottage

We thought the cottage was very tastefully decorated and equipped. The owners had obviously put a lot of thought into it. It was very conveniently situated and we were able to park directly outside, although there is a dedicated parking space in a Council property opposite but we did not need to use it. It had a small garden and we were able to have lunch out there which was nice. We very much enjoyed our stay in this characterful little cottage, and the owners even provided a coffee cake on our arrival - my husband's favourite.

It was on quite a busy road but, for three nights, we survived that just fine! The only real snag would be if I had been on my own and not with my husband as I am quite short and could not reach the lockbox with the key in it and you also need a torch to be able to read the numbers. My husband fortunately did have a torch with him! Also, eating in the kitchen could be a squeeze for four people - we were only two and it was fine.

Perfect cottage in the heart of Tetbury.

We loved our stay at New Church Cottage. It’s cosy, clean and welcoming. The two beautifully furnished bedrooms are surprisingly spacious and very comfortable, and the location in the heart of Tetbury but not on the busiest streets is perfect. The hosts have thought of everything, including extra touches like milk in the fridge and a home-baked cake. Thank you. We’ll definitely be back.

Everything. Back terrace is bigger than expected and such a suntrap. Walking distance to some fabulous shops and eateries. Plenty of space and comfy beds. Had a great time.

Excellent place to stay and the owners were only a phone call away and living in the same town.

Very comfortable bed, we’ll equipped kitchen, nice size living room and bedrooms all tastefully decorated. 2 mins walk from the centre of town, a very useful allocated parking space.

The kitchen may be a little on the small side for four adults but was perfect for the two of us.

Beautifully furnished and finished to a very high standard. Very comfortable beds with lovely linen. Felt warm, comfy and a real home from home with carefully selected paintings and antique items. Parking space was appreciated. Easy to walk to shops and restaurants.

The road was very busy especially in the early mornings and late afternoon.
