Today, you can swim in the sparkling river, stop by the Frontier Times Museum (half a mile), or spend a day exploring Hill Country State Natural Area (12 miles). Motorcycle enthusiasts will love trekking along the 100-mile Twisted Sister trail, one of the best motorcycle roads in the state. Horseback riding, golf cart rentals, and kayaks are all also available with just a phone call, as well as private year-round axis hunts. You're also within walking distance of a plethora of shopping options, restaurants, bars, and the beautiful St. Stanislaus Polish Catholic Church, one of the designated 'Painted Catholic Churches' of Texas.
