Chania old town is just fifteen minutes away by car, and the shops, bars and clubs of Platanias are even closer. The nearest beach is 1.8 kilometres away, so adding beach trips to your itinerary is no trouble at all. We recommend taking a day-trip to Balos Lagoon, which is fifty-five minutes away – it’s been named one of the best beaches in the world, so it’s well worth the journey.
