SLO loft Gypsy is comfortable, nice layout, very secure. Perfect for shopping and dining downtown. I was warned about the noise from the street and the restaurant/bar below but I was naive My last night was Friday and there was a “guest DJ” in the establishment below us. All we heard (even with ear plugs) was the thumping beat cranked up. Although we enjoyed the stay for the most part we can’t return because of the noise. Sad about that The lofts are truly a unique experience and for that I say they must be visited a least once.

Great property and location for downtown. Just needs more information prior to booking such as: expect drunks and loud music that might keep you up at night (bar/club below), there is a hidden cleaning fee that is conveyed only in welcome envelope. And parking is off site in local parking garage.

This is our second stay at the Lofts and we will certainly be back again. Such unique and gorgeous rooms and amenities. Check in is super easy and they provide parking passes for a nearby parking garage. The Lofts are right in the heart of downtown SLO providing a cool vibe that is super convenient for shopping and dining. We can’t wait to go back!

You have a sign to encourage us to reuse towels in the bathroom, but there are no hooks or bars to hang anything on. You provided only one dish towel in the kitchen for 4 days. Also needed more hand towels. We needed an ice maker or trays to make ice. We appreciated plenty of paper towels and zip lock bags. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and staying close to our family in two other lofts.

Great location, very nice and clean units, and great communication from staff. However, when they warn that it is in a noisy location, they mean it. Right over and across from extremely boisterous bars with lots of loud drunks. We were ok with it, but if you need silence to get a good nights sleep this probably isn’t the place for you.

Great place to stay in! Right in the middle of San Luis Obispo’s main area with stores, restaurants and a bunch of fun activities. Been to SLO a few times but decided to stay in town and choice this location. I’d rate the ease of the stay, the stay and the safety of our stay a 9/10. Could’ve been a 10 in my opinion but the door wasn’t accepting the code so had to be rebooted which took a few minutes but was off putting only because there’s no front desk and you have to reach out by call or text but it was fixed asap and worked from then on out and never had the problem again and the other thing that was iffy but it turned out to be ok was the parking situation. You park a block away from where you stay but I checked on my car the two nights we stayed and everything was ok and we even got vouchers so I didn’t pay anything plus everything is walking distance. 9/10 but would recommend this place to everyone above other locations and would def stay again!

What a cool place this was! We enjoyed our time there as well as the style and decor inside the room and the hallways. Everything was clean, cool looking and beyond our expectations. The one and only downside was the uncomfortable mattress. Everything else was amazing, and you are truly in the center of town!

I wish the original Slo brew restaurant and brewery were still downstairs. We also wish that there was a better coffee maker in the room, as well as a microwave, any microwave would’ve been good. Lastly, we were on the street side so we had bar noise until late, late evening, all to wake up at 6 AM to traffic noise and we’re thinking some type of leaf blower or power washer in the morning. If we didn’t have the noise, we would’ve had a restful evening.

We went to celebrate our daughters 21st birthday. This place was an excellent location! The Cast Away was perfect! The loft had everything one could need. The room, lobby, and hallway were beautifully appointed. We brought our dog, and out back there’s a lawn (across the creek) for pet bathroom purposes. Because it’s downtown, you will hear the nightlife. This didn’t bother us at all. We cannot wait to stay here again!

Modern, upscale, comfy, and clean! However, stating that parking comes with the loft is a false advertisement and unacceptable. Parking is not convenient for check-in. There is a voucher for 1 public unsecured parking garage 3 blocks away, but you can't get the vouchers until you first play musical chairs with all the cars using the PUBLIC loading zone that is needed for you to park and unload your luggage. Because it's public parking spots on the main downtown street, you cannot guarantee their availability. We drove around the block several times waiting for them to become avail. so that we could drop off our luggage. Having a dinner reservation at 6:15pm, we could no longer drive around, so we parked in the commercial zone next to the loading zone. We literally took our luggage up to the room and came back down because we had dinner in 15 mins. We both rcv'd parking tickets for $53 at 5:49pm despite free parking starting at 6pm bc we couldn't circle the block anymore. We had the same issue checking out when trying to load our cars. The lofts are LOUD!! We couldn't sleep until after 2am on a Wednesday & Thursday!! Drunk college kids were hanging out in front of the entry door when we came back from dinner, which made 2 women uncomfortable. 6am commercial street cleaning etc is even louder. There is no insulation, triple pane windows, and no reprieve from the loud commercial noise. Also didn't like being contacted for credit card info, despite booking through Expedia.

absolutely horrible. the room was disgusting with stains all over the couch, chairs, and curtains. the NOISE was miserable. If you want to sleep, you won’t here. i felt like i was in the bar/club below since my room was shaking from the base and it didn’t stop until after 2am. then you’re hearing drunk people outside all night. can you give zero stars??

SLO Brew Lofts are in an amazing location in downtown San Luis Obispo. The self check-in is incredibly convenience. We loved the stylish and spacious living area. The kitchen was clean and provided the amenities to prepare simple meals. The beds were comfy too! I would love to return!
