Marble Masterpiece

This villa in the south of Paros is blessed with a sweeping view of the Aegean Sea and Cycladic islands on the distant horizon. Thankfully, you're not short of spots from which you can enjoy this panorama. As well as a terrace complete with an alfresco dining area, there's also a balcony on each floor to give you a little more elevation. You could even admire the landscape from the swimming pool if you so wished. Inside, the design is big on cleansing white shades, whether on the walls, furnishings or minimalist kitchen. As well as being cooling during the summer months, this stark palette makes for a blank canvas against which colourful touches really pop off, like the wave feature wall in one of the bedrooms or the collection of house plants. It would be remiss at this point not to mention that there's a Jacuzzi in the master ensuite, too. As you can probably guess from the view, it won't take too long to get to the beach. Farangas is a twenty-five-minute walk, for instance. The island's main town of Parikia takes a similar amount of time to reach in the car.
