The S2 multipoint handle intended for use on PVC casement windows.  It must be used in conjunction with a multipoint rod lock, purchased elsewhere.  A stainless steel link to connect the S2 lock to the multipoint rod is included with the S2 lock. Once assembled together, the multipoint lock is operated through the S2 handle.

The S2 handle mounts through two PVC walls on the frame of the window.  Mounting hole for the S2 is similar to that needed for the V2, except that the slot in the second PVC wall is longer, coming much closer to the screw holes.  The S2 mounting hole will also work for the V2 lock.  The sizes and spacing of the mounting holes are shown on FIGURE 2 (Click Below).  Two yellow tinted mounting screws are driven from behind through the two round holes in the second wall, and into corresponding holes in the S2 itself.

The functioning of the multipoint rod will depend on it's location relative to the S2 handle.  The window profile being used may limit the range of feasible locations.  Depending on location, the rod will have from 1 ¾  to 2 inches of motion when actuated by the S2 handle.  Certain optimal rod locations can also provide extra security, such that downward force on the multipoint rod will jam the link and not allow the lock to open.  See rod movement and security chart,  FIGURE 3 (Click Below).

When viewed from within the home, the S2 handles are identical to the popular V2 single point locks.  The S2 locks are available in the same full range of colours as the V2 locks.

The S2 handle is constructed of acetal material, with a tough zinc alloy hook and a stainless steel link.  A complete ordering  number combines the product category S2 and a color code (e.g. S2WG, S261).

The stainless steel link which connects the S2 lock to the multipoint rod is included with the S2 handles.  Mounting screws are also included, and accommodate both Phillips drivers and Square Socket drivers.
